To get this site started, we’re requesting photos of Set Lists and Concert Posters.
Please keep them between 1-3 MB, and put your name and the date of the concert in the subject line (if you would like a photo credit so in the future you can search for the items you’ve shared.)
This site has not YET been sanctioned by the band. Every effort will be made to not infringe on any copyrights. Since posters and set lists have been shared on their Instagram and Facebook pages we are acting in good faith that these are safe to post here – as long as the site is not designed to generate income, and files are not able to be printed as high-quality reproductions to be sold.
In the future we’re hoping to add Meet & Greet gift bag photos, “fans with the band” photos, fan art, videos and concert photos – but we’d like to get the band’s ok on including some of those things.
We’re hoping this site can be a repository, a historical document of everything Struts. They have a fabulous social media presence, however, those mediums are not searchable. They are temporal, fleeting moments… and we’re sure most of “The Strutters” have spent some serious time trying to find a photo or set list that you saw one time on Facebook or Instagram! It can be frustrating – wouldn’t it be great to be able to just search in one spot for it?
The Struts are an up-and-coming band near the beginning of the social media upsurge… 10 years of documentation can be done backwards – and 30-40 more years (?) forward.
No one can predict what social media platforms will be around then… how much info may be lost if even one of them crashes? MySpace is just about dead – and Luke’s first band had a lot of photos and videos there that may be lost (not sure if he’d be happy to forget that – but his fans wouldn’t be!)
So, we’re going to give it a go… If you’re a member of The Strutters Facebook page we’ll have instructions there on where to send set lists and poster photos.
If you want to join our mission – that of ensuring no one can say ‘Who the Fuck are The Struts? – we’d love to have you along for the ride!
Sincerely,
VeronikaWithaK
